Penguin Huddle — Privacy Policy

Penguin Huddle is a puzzle game. There is no account to create, and we do not ask you for your name, your email address or anything else about you. This page explains the data the app does handle, and who else is involved.

What stays on your device

Your progress — levels solved, stars, streak, the penguin's name, hats and scarves, and your settings — is saved on your device by the app. We cannot see it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes it.

Cloud save and the leaderboard (optional)

If you sign in to Google Play Games from the app's settings, two things follow:

• Cloud save. A copy of your progress is stored in your own Google Play Games saved-games space so it can follow you to another device. It is your data, held in your Google account; we do not keep a copy.
• Daily leaderboard. Your time on the daily puzzle, together with the display name and avatar your Play Games profile shows, is submitted to a Google Play Games leaderboard and can be seen by other players in the game.

Signing in is entirely your choice. The game plays exactly the same without it, and you can sign out again from settings at any time.

Advertising

The game shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, including ads you choose to watch in exchange for a reward. To do that, Google collects device information and your device's advertising identifier, and may use it to personalise and measure ads. We never receive that information. How Google uses it is described in Google's privacy and terms.

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android), which limits ad personalisation.

Google also offers its own controls over how your data is used for advertising, at My Ad Center.

Purchases

Some decorations can be bought. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We receive only confirmation that an item was bought, so the game can unlock it. We never see your card, your billing address or any other payment detail.

The daily puzzle

The app downloads that month's daily puzzles from penguinhuddle.app so that every player gets the same board on the same day. This is an ordinary web request; our host records the usual server access information, such as the IP address making the request, which is used to serve the file and to keep the site working.

Reminders

If you turn on the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled on your device by your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

Children

Penguin Huddle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, please write to us and we will remove it.

Deleting your data

To delete the progress held on your device, use Reset progress in the app's settings, or uninstall the app. To delete the copy held in cloud save, delete the Penguin Huddle saved game from the Google Play Games app, or write to us and we will tell you exactly how. To be removed from the leaderboard, write to us with the display name shown on it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version always lives at this address.
